A framework, not a game
Developers open it in Unity and build their own games and modes on top of what's already there, instead of starting from an empty project.

It started as a test: could old Chapter 1 movement work in Unity? It did, so it kept growing. Now it's turning into a framework that other people can build on.
Developers open it in Unity and build their own games and modes on top of what's already there, instead of starting from an empty project.
No Verse and none of UEFN's limits. Write normal C# and use whatever Unity can do.
The plan is to release it as open source so anyone can pick it up. It isn't public yet.
Test builds go out through the launcher to make sure everything works, and to have some fun. Suggestions and most-wanted features go into the project.
Grab the installer with the button below. It's about 5 MB; the playtest build comes through the launcher.
Windows may show a blue "Windows protected your PC" box because the launcher isn't code-signed. Click More info, then Run anyway.
Make an account with your invite code. The build downloads on its own, and new builds install as they come out. When the slab says PLAY, you're in.
The playtest is closed for now. The launcher won't download anything until you sign in, and new accounts need an invite code.
Don't have one? Ask in the Discord. Codes go out a few at a time as servers allow.
A framework for Unity for making Fortnite-style games and modes in C#. It started as a test to see if old Chapter 1 movement could work in Unity. That worked, so more got added: guns, the pickaxe, building and editing, inventory and loot, the storm and battle bus, game modes, a lobby and HUD, and multiplayer with everything replicated on a server.
No, it's a framework. The playtest builds are there to test things and make sure everything works (and to have fun with). The real point is that developers open it in Unity and build their own things on top of it.
Not yet. The plan is to release it as open source. Until then you can play the test builds through the launcher.
UEFN limits what you can do, and it means writing Verse. Blueprint is normal C# with all of Unity, so you can build things UEFN doesn't let you.
Unity games are supposed to come to Fortnite in early access in 2027. The goal is for Blueprint to be ready for people who want to try that. Nothing about it is official yet, and Blueprint has no deal with Epic or Unity.
Yes. Suggestions and most-wanted features from the community are what get added next. Post them in the Discord.
Ask in the Discord. Each code works once and is tied to the account you create with it.
A 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 PC, a graphics card that handles DirectX 11, and a couple of gigabytes free. The launcher installs to your user folder, so it doesn't need admin rights.
SmartScreen warns about any program that isn't signed with a paid certificate and hasn't been downloaded much yet. Click More info then Run anyway. Only download it from this page.
No. Blueprint is an unofficial fan project and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Epic Games. It's free and nothing is sold.
